New Case Study: Surface Disinfection Incompatibility with Medical Devices Creates Potential Patient Risks
HSI and AHVAP collaborated on developing this case study, wherein a large hospital purchased several hundred monitoring systems from a medical device company. Within two years, damage to the devices due to chemical exposure during the disinfection process was identified.
Just as the world was beginning to realize COVID-19 was quickly spreading, and shelter in place requirements began, HSI convened for its annual meeting and workshop in Houston, Texas on March 3rd.
HSI was featured in Plastics Today in a new article regarding the incomplete disinfection practices in healthcare environments and the lack of information on the issue.
