PAYMENT – You agree to pay the membership fee to full access of the membership benefits for 1 year. Your annual membership will renew every year from the date you joined.
TERMS – Your membership is non-transferable. You may not share any usernames, passwords, private links, or discount codes associated with your membership.
You may not share any proprietary content of the HSI website or programs with non-members.
You are responsible for posts made on the HSI Member Forum that occurs in conjunction with use of your username and password. Your username and password are unique to you. You must notify us as soon as you become aware of any unauthorized use of your membership, username, or password.
HSI will offer exclusive content and discounted fees to exclusive content, which we aim to regularly add to the website. The content will be updated, changed or removed from time to time, at our discretion, so we can’t guarantee that specific content will always be available.
RIGHTS TO CONTENT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY – Each item of content is copyright of its author. We own any HSI-contributed content.
Your membership gives you a right (a revocable, non-exclusive license) to use the content made available to you for personal purposes. You must not redistribute content (such as articles, webinars, training materials, presentations, research, videos, and source files). You may freely use the information, procedures, and techniques demonstrated in the content (that is, the knowledge you gain) for any public health, commercial, or personal purpose.
REFUSAL, SUSPENSION OR TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP – We may, at our discretion, immediately restrict, suspend or terminate your membership if we consider you in breach of these Membership Terms, any other rules, or applicable law. We reserve the right to refuse membership at our discretion (including previous breaches of membership terms).
CHANGES TO MEMBERSHIP TERMS – If we change Membership Terms, we will notify members before doing so. You will be given the opportunity to cancel your membership with a pro-rata refund (based on time remaining in your subscription) if you do not want to accept the changes. If you do not opt out in this way, your continued subscription to and use of the Site will be an acceptance of the updated Membership Terms.
CANCELLATION – Members may cancel their membership at any time, but dues will not be refunded nor is membership transferable.
Information provided in HSI webinars and other online presentations are available only to purchasers of the content and may not be recorded or redistributed. Webinars are made available for a restricted period of time and may only be accessed within that time period, which will be communicated to the purchaser. You may freely use the information, procedures, and techniques demonstrated in the content (that is, the knowledge you gain) for any public health, commercial, or personal purpose.
Liability and Disclaimer
We are bound only by the express promises made in these Membership Terms and are not bound by implied terms.
We do not promise that the content or information accessed through HSI will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any defects will be corrected, or that the site or content are free of viruses or any other harmful components; and
We make no promises regarding content in terms of correctness, accuracy, timeliness, completeness, reliability or otherwise.
HSI and our partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, loss or revenue or loss of profits which result from any use of information published in the HSI Member Forum, HSI Webinars, or other publications and presentations.
Any opinions, advice, statements, or other information or content expressed or made available by third parties (including sponsors of Healthcare Surfaces Institute) are those of the respective author(s) or distributor(s) and not of the Healthcare Surfaces Institute.

ANNUAL MEETING REGISTRATION
Annual Meeting registration fees are nonrefundable.
Members may cancel their membership at any time, but dues already paid will not be refunded nor is membership transferable.
The Institute is a 501c3 organization. Payments made to Healthcare Surfaces Institute are deductible under charitable contributions under the Internal Revenue Code. For more information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Healthcare Surfaces Institute is committed to the privacy of our members, affiliates, and supporters (collectively addressed as “Users” in the following statement).
We may collect personal identification from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users register on the site, place an order, sign up for content, respond to a survey, fill out a form, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and payment information. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us.
HSI will not share or sell the personal information of its Users.
